Purpose:
- Focal point for Business, Business Finance and Group Reporting stakeholders for North America entities. Syngenta Business Financial Consolidation reporting tool sign-off owner.
- Lead external audits and assess post audit corrective actions.
- Understand business for the region to ensure reporting cycles reflect business activities accurately.
- Stakeholder management of impact assessments and change management.
- Strong understanding of business end-to-end processes and internal controls necessary to safeguard the Company’s assets
- Work jointly with NA ATR Process Excellence team for process improvement. Challenge exceptions to standardization.
- Support a high level of accuracy and financial compliance. Monitor Internal Control Framework.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate to ensure correctness of data and responsibility on SBFC sign-off for legal entity financial figures jointly with ATR MEC Process Excellence teams.
- Engage in dialogue within ATR and Group reporting organization for new operations, M&A or other transactions, to verify the correct accounting treatment.
- Expected to deliver quality result in fast changing business environment
- Lead external audits and drive sustainable and timely remediation of outstanding audit issues for the relevant process. Support and/or lead internal audits and ensure timely remediation of outstanding audit issues.
- Prepare and provide accurate and timely information to local authorities (local fillings to Census, BEA).
- Ensure effective and sustainable implementation of ICF Controls compliance related to Reporting Financials.

It is indispensable for this position:
- Professionals from Accounting career
- Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory)
- 3-5 years experience in Accounting or finance related positions
- Good communication skills in relation to key stakeholders, including senior managers at the country, territory level
- Sound understanding of key financial concepts, solid theoretical background in finance and accounting.
- Dynamic, team working, organized and attentive to deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure while keeping high quality of output
Nice to have
- Good understanding of business end-to-end processes and internal controls necessary to safeguard the Company’s assets
- ERP (SAP) experience
- Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional matrix organization
- Ability to influence and challenge others outside of the job’s direct span of control
- Ability to effectively manage ambiguity in a fast-changing environment
- Strong negotiation skills
